A large majority of the voters in the key swing states of Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania simply do not like Hillary Clinton and believe that she is dishonest and untrustworthy.
The results of a Quinnipiac poll, released on October 7, 2015, shows that voters don’t agree with her frequent insistence that she should be trusted. 59% of the Florida voters say she is not honest and trustworthy, while 61% of the voters in Ohio and Pennsylvania feel the same. They clearly do’t agree with Hillary’s claims.
By contrast, Vice President Joe Biden is viewed as honest and trustworthy by 71% of Florida voters, 62% of Ohio, and 64% of Pennsylvania
In a variety of TV interviews, Hillary has repeatedly insisted that voters should – and will – trust her when they understand her record of fighting for people. But, so far, that hasn’t happened, despite multiple TV interviews and a month long media campaign of paid advertisements. Voters are just not buying Hillary and her dramas.
Obviously, her email problems and her inadequate and preposterous explanations about why she used a private server are feeding her image as a dishonest and untrustworthy candidate. During interviews last summer, Hillary blamed her negative trustworthy ratings on Republicans. People don’t trust her because Republicans say bad things about her! (It’s not her fault! Really!)
It’s not just that voters don’t trust Hillary. They don’t like her either – – a majority in all three state have an unfavorable view of her.
The swing state voters also find Hillary to be out of touch – a majority in each state felt she “didn’t care about the needs of people” like them. Looks like her claims of being “dead broke” in a year where she had $16 million in income might be a part of that perception.
There’s more bad news for Hillary: In the head-to-heads in the Presidential election, Hillary narrowly beats Trump, but loses to Bush in all three states. Carson beats her by 9 points in 2 of the three states, Fiorina beats her in 2 of 3. and Rubio beats her in all states.
Hillary’s not doing well. Swing state voters don’t like her, don’t trust her, and won’t vote for her.
Nothing she’s done has changed their minds. They get it.
